How do I set up and edit my service provider profile?

Create a provider profile describing your unique expertise and experience, and attract employers with an online portfolio highlighting your previous work samples.

To create a provider profile:

1. Log in to the MyElance Main Menu.

2. Expand the list on the left panel by clicking the 'More' link.

3. Click on the 'Provider Profile' link on the left panel.

4. Click on the red ‘Create new profile’ button on the right

5. Enter in your service provider short and detailed summary descriptions, contact information, skills, past client references, credentials, education and your business terms. Scroll to the bottom of each profile information page and click on the 'Save' or 'Submit' buttons to save your information and move to the next section.

6. To upload an image from the main profile page, in the upper right you will see the image section of your profile. Click on the Edit link to upload an image for your profile display.

7. After finishing your profile, click on the 'Portfolio' link on the profile page to upload your previous work samples.

Tips:

- Skills and keywords are helpful for coming up in search queries. Depending on your membership plan, you will have a different number of keywords and skills that you can enter.  Tell me more.

- Be sure to add a thumbnail image to show up in your search results.

- Tailor your 'Short Summary Description' to get buyers to click on your profile.

- Enable Elance Chat and Elance Call to allow potential employers/buyers to contact you directly from your profile. Please note that engaging with buyers using your contact information will cost you Connect fees.

To edit your profile:

1. Log in to the MyElance Main Menu.

2. Expand the list on the left panel by clicking the 'More' link.

3. Click on the 'Provider Profile' link on the left panel.

4. Click the Edit link in each section you wish to update

NOTE:  Any new profiles and edits will be reindexed each night before that information can be searched and displayed in our main provider index.
